Dom Herbertson has announced that he will return to the island for the 2025 Isle of Man TT.
The 31-year-old from Hexham was scheduled to contest with Alan Gardeners’ WTF Racing team alongside James Hillier, although on April 1, the team announced that they would be withdrawing from the event.
However, Herbertson has now launched his own team, HRRC – Herbertson Road Racing Company, and will take thirteenth place on the startline in the RST x D3O Superbike, RL360/Opul Superstock, and Milwaukee Senior races.
OMG Racing owner Alan Gardner has supplied the bike for the event. He gifted Herbertson the stock Honda Fireblade he was due to ride with WTF.
The Geordie has also picked up a Ducati Panigale V2 to enter the two Monster Energy Supersport races. In previous years, he set a personal best lap of 125.951mph and three top-ten finishes.
“It came as a real shock when the team announced they were having to pull out this year, and it was a real shame for the whole team and crew, too.
Alan has managed to pull all the strings for me to supply the big bike, and I couldn’t be more grateful. I would have loved to have come to the TT with the whole team behind me, but I am also excited to get back to my roots in running my own little setup.”
